I tried the fried chicken and oxtails and both were very flavorful. The server/cashier was very upbeat and personable even though the area is not the best. If you want authentic Jamaican food and don't care too much about aesthetics, give Chef Tony's a try, you won't be disappointed.

Listen..dont read another review..just go get your food....its a true "hole in the wall" but it's the most delicious steamed fish in the area..Maybe in all of Georgia. It's the most delicious steam fish I've EVER had (I eat fish weekly). The only thing I would add next time is some steamed bammy or crackers to soak up the rich golden sauce. The fish is made to order so while we waited we had some Manish water (goat soup) just perfection. Or you can also call ahead. The fried chicken was delicious and well seasoned as well but it was sitting in a warmer so not very crunchy so not the best for me. I honestly have never been so satisfied with the taste of a meal in a very long time. I am SATISFIED. Now don't ask me about the appearance...or the location...its on the side of a run down gas station and the sign sucks and is very hard to read...but once you see the seafood place..it next door.... THIS IS A FOOD/TASTE REVIEW ONLY!!!

The fried chicken and oxtail was good. The chicken soup was watered down.

Great authentic Jamaican food! Don’t think about it just do it. The food here is exactly what you need when craving some yaad food and the prices are reasonable. It’s a hole in the wall spot and very easy to miss but I definitely recommend!!

ChefTony’s Jamaican Cuisine and Catering, located in Lithonia, GA, is a true gem for anyone seeking authentic Jamaican flavors. Despite its modest setting—nestled beside a run-down gas station—this unpretentious spot delivers bold, vibrant dishes that capture the essence of traditional Jamaican cooking.

The standout here is undoubtedly the fried chicken: perfectly seasoned, with a crispy exterior and juicy, tender meat inside. It's a testament to how simple ingredients, treated with care and expertise, can create a memorable taste sensation. Equally impressive are the oxtails—rich, flavorful, and slow-cooked to tender perfection, embodying the heartiness expected of Jamaican comfort food.

But it’s the steamed fish that truly elevates ChefTony’s in the local culinary landscape. Described by customers as the best in Georgia, the fish is prepared fresh to order, bathed in a golden, savory sauce that’s both delicate and deeply satisfying. Pairing it with traditional sides like steamed bammy or crackers allows you to soak up every bit of that rich sauce, enhancing the eating experience.

The menu also offers comforting additions like Manish water, a goat soup that provides a soulful depth—a perfect starter while waiting for your main course. Each dish feels rooted in heritage, delivered with sincerity rather than flash, prioritizing flavor over fancy presentation.

While some might overlook ChefTony’s due to its location and humble appearance, the food here speaks volumes. It’s a reminder that authenticity and true flavor can thrive outside polished dining rooms. For those craving Jamaican staples—from vibrant spices to hearty stews—ChefTony’s Jamaican Cuisine and Catering is a place where culinary tradition is honored, and your palate rewarded with bold, honest tastes.
